WHAT DOES THIS COURSE COVER?
This qualification aims to provide learners with in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work and the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counselling skills and have the opportunity to examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical models associated with them.
This qualification does not qualify learners to practice as a counsellor.
HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?
This course is assessed by portfolio/online portfolio. Each individual learner receives one-to-one support from an allocated assessor.
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
This qualification is ideal for those seeking to enhance their functional role through the use of counselling skills.
COURSE TIMINGS
This course lasts for 12 months. Start dates are available throughout the academic year.
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COURSE COST?
This course can be fully funded if students have not achieved a full level 3 qualification or higher or if their annual income from April 2022 is under £18,525.
PROGRESSION
This qualification could help you progress to level 4 counselling qualifications.

You must be 19 or over to access this course. You may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved a level 2 qualification.
