THIS HANDS-ON TEXTILES COURSE APPEALS TO THOSE WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN COLOUR, PATTERN, SHAPE, FORM, TEXTURE, AND DECORATION.

With a focus on printed, dyed and constructed textile design, this course explores a range of techniques through a series of practical workshops. You will develop your enjoyment of textiles through 2-D work and your sketchbook, and produce a varied and experimental portfolio of textile-based art.

  • Felt making
  • Tie dye techniques
  • Stitching
  • Mark making
  • Inks and bleach
  • Weaving mixed media.

Course Requirements

At least five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English Language and Art. A suitable portfolio of creative work may be accepted as an alternative to GCSE Art.
