Richard Taunton Trampoline Team Heading to National Finals

The Richard Taunton Trampoline Team continue their success from the Regional Championships in the Autumn Term and have now qualified for the National Finals in March.

After an overwhelming success at the U19 British Schools & Colleges Regional Championships in December, where the team were awarded gold, they have now secured 2nd place Southern Zonal Championships, with team member, Lucy Miller, coming 2nd in the individual competition. This means they’ll be representing the college at the National Finals in March!

Trampolining is just one of the team and recreational sports that students can get involved in as part of the college’s wide range of enrichment activities. By participating in our sports activities students have the opportunity to participate in local, regional and national competitions each year with the British Schools & Colleges Sport and the Association of Colleges Sport (AOC Sport).

In preparation for the upcoming championship final in March, the students will be working hard in their sessions to continue refining their technical skills and gymnastic form. And in order to pull off an even more impressive final performance, they’ll be enhancing the difficulty of their routines.

Good luck to our amazing trampolinists in the final!
