RTSFC students proud to be University Hospital ambassadors

5th October 2015

Former RTSFC students Sara Babahami and Sophie Agostinelli have produced a video outlining their role as Under-21 Governors at University Hospital Southampton.

Sophie (formerly Oasis Academy Lordshill) and Sara (formerly St Anne’s School) both studied A Level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology alongside being on the Board of Governors at the hospital.

Sara said

We made this video to promote the role of the hospital governors and encourage people to be governors at UHS. Working at the hospital has been an amazing experience; I’ve met so many people and made some impressive contacts which will help me in the future. I’ve even had some of my articles published on the University Hospital website, and it’s given me a new perspective on the careers available to me when I leave university.

After leaving RTSFC in summer 2015, Sophie is now studying Midwifery at Surrey University, whilst Sara is studying Pharmacy at Bath University. The video was filmed and produced by fellow Science student Alex Lister, who is now studying Neuroscience at Keele University.

Amanda Humphries, Learning Area Manager for Science and Maths at RTSFC, said:

The video is excellent and I am so proud of the students who have made it!
