Throughout this diploma, students explore specialised areas of support, including working with learners with specific learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or disabilities. Covering topics within this qualification will provide students to gain comprehensive insights and skills necessary to work in school settings. Key Topics
This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning, delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.
Assessment
Students enrolled onto this course will be allocated an Assessor/Tutor. All units will be individually internally assessed using a range of assessment methods. Assessment will be Internally Quality Assured (IQA) and Externally Quality Assured (EQA) by the Awarding Organisation.
The different types/methods of assessment will be discussed between student and Assessor/Tutor.
Progression
