Course Summary

This GCSE English Language course covers key area such as reading comprehension, developing your ability to analyse and interpret texts and different reading and writing styles. Learners will also practice writing for different purposes and audiences, enhancing their creative and technical writing skills. The classes provide structured lessons where teachers cover essential subject content, explain concepts, and guide students through the curriculum.

This course is deliverd in person. This course is free subject to meeting eligibility criteria such as being aged 19 years or older.

The College requires an attendance rate of at least 90% to enable students to achieve and progress. You will be expected to attend weekly taught lessons. Homework will be given at regular intervals.

Assessment

Your tutor will provide feedback throughout the course, but the formal assessments will be exam based. There will be two formal written exams.

Progression

Completion of GCSE English Language can lead to learners advancing to higher level qualifications in range of subjects. This qualification can also lead to career opportunities, personal growth and potentially University education.
