We believe that every student can benefit from support with their learning – whatever their level of ability – to help them achieve success. As a smaller college, we are ideally suited to knowing our students well and tailoring our support accordingly. Whether you need to work on your spelling, punctuation or grammar, need help learning the English language or you just want a quiet place to work, we have a range of options for students. We also support students with recognised learning difficulties, and those on the autistic spectrum. Depending on your needs, we can provide a personalised support programme and classroom support to aid your learning.

Our stories: Emma and Kyle
In these two short films, Emma and Kyle tell us about their experiences at school, transition to college and aspirations for the future. Emma is diagnosed with Autism and Kyle is diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.

1 to 1 Study Support
We offer 1 to 1 appointments for students to identify areas of development and created a tailored support plan. Sessions in Upgrade last for 30 minutes each week, and continue until you have reached your targets. We cover a wide variety of topics, from essay planning and note-taking to exam techniques and presentation skills.
Upgrade has made me feel more confident … I think I have improved so much. It’s a good way of helping you to get better when revising, or if you need extra help with work. It’s fun as well.
