Enrolment Information for New Applicants

We’re delighted that you’ll be joining Richard Taunton Sixth Form College this September. We look forward to welcoming you to your enrolment appointment.

Enrolment will take place from 24–28 August 2026.

Your appointment will be scheduled for one day during this week.

If you already have a course offer, you will receive an email in June confirming the date and time of your in‑person enrolment appointment, which will take place at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. You must attend this appointment to secure your place.

If you submitted a late application, your enrolment appointment will be sent to you after you have attended a Welcome Meeting interview.

What is enrolment?

Enrolment is the final stage of joining the College. During your appointment, we will:

  • Check your exam results and certificates
  • Confirm your course choices based on your GCSE grades and your future plans.
  • Check we have your contact details correct and discuss any support needs or medical information we might need to know.
  • Take your photo and produce your student ID card
  • Discuss financial support and transport options as needed
  • Ensure you have everything you need to begin your studies in September

You must complete enrolment before starting a course with us.

Appointments normally last up to two hours. If you would feel more comfortable you are welcome to bring a parent, guardian or carer with you.

What if I can’t attend my appointment?
