Students and staff at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College are celebrating a superb set of results this year.
Students achieved a 98% pass rate for A levels, with 51% of students achieving grades A*-B. In particular, 60% of students studying for A levels in Chemistry and Physics and 80% in Biology achieved grades A*-B.
The pass rate for vocational courses is 99% with 74% of students achieving grades D*-M. Notably, 80% of students studying Sport, Health and Social Care, Dance and Uniformed Protective Services achieved Distinction or above.
Principal Paul Swindale said:
“We are so proud of the progress our students have made and the results they have achieved. Although their entire post-16 journey has been impacted by the pandemic, our students have shown resilience and courage in living up to our high standards.
“Many of our students are starting university this year, some having completed tough interview processes for competitive courses. I am both proud and humbled by their success and look forward to seeing them progress in the future.”
