Student Achievements of the Week

10th May 2017

We have some great news to share this week about a number of our student successes…

Young Governor: University Hospital Southampton Trust

First year student and member of the Student Union, Lorna Cotter, was just offered the position of Young Governor for the University Hospital Southampton Trust! Lorna has been a real inspiration to others this year, her positive attitude and determination has impressed many around college.

Apprenticeship with Arqiva

Our second congratulations go to IT student Sophie Ellis, who has secured a cyber security apprenticeship with Arqiva. Sophie was the only female in a male dominated interview process!

Sophie says, “I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity and am really excited to be in the field of Cyber Security. I’ll be working with companies such as BBC, Sky, Vodafone and even GCHQ!”.

Sophie has promised to come back and talk to our students about her role and hopefully encourage more girls to pursue a career in this field.

Further Education Offers

Natasha Bracewell will be going on to study at the London Studio Centre and Amy Fielding secured a place at E15 Acting School!

Congratulations to them all. We are sure they’ll do really well!
