1st December 2016

Each year we enter a team of student entrepreneurs into the national Young Enterprise competition. The competition runs from September to July, and gives young people the chance to win a variety of awards, ranging from best team to best product idea, while harnessing their personal and business skills by setting up a business (and having lots of fun in the process).

This year our students have come up with an innovative business model that utilises art created by students on cards and other gift shop wares, offering our talented young artists a platform for their work. The team, consisting of Valeria Braicau, Aiden Fell and Tahmina Uddin, named the business LollyBee, after narrowing down the many suggestions they received at our recent college open evening.

LollyBee has already gained traction from a £50 investment won at the Young Enterprise Dragons Den event this week. They plan to begin trading the week commencing 5th December at a trade fair in Whiteley and through a college stall for staff, students and visitors .

We’d like to say well done so far to team LollyBee, and offer you the opportunity to invest by emailing Company Director Valeria on 15braicavm@richardtaunton.ac.uk.
