At Student Services you can access a variety of experts to support you during your time at college. Student Services can:
- Provide advice on a range of issues, including finance, transport and careers
- Book appointments with your Learning Area Manager
- Book appointments with the College Counsellor, Mental Health Nurse and the Emotional Health & Wellbeing Worker
Student Services is open to all students from 8am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, so you can speak to us in person. You can also contact us by phone on 02380 514720 or by email on email@example.com.
We expect students to attend all their lessons on time. If you are ill, please notify the college using our absence line (02380 514777) on the morning of your absence. If you feel unwell during the day, you must sign out at Student Services, but you are responsible for informing your teachers, checking Moodle, and catching up on any work you have missed. In Student Services we support teachers by phoning home to confirm absences and arranging meetings between students, parents and teachers to discuss poor attendance. We also administer attendance letters and amend register marks where appropriate. Register marks will not be changed unless authorised by a teacher.
When you enrol at college you will be given an Enrolment Agreement letter, which can be used as evidence to show that you are enrolled as a student. If you require further evidence or correspondence to confirm your student status, please speak to the Student Services team or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
At RTSFC our mission is to “raise the aspirations and achievements of students of all ages and abilities by providing outstanding education.” We expect high standards of behaviour from all our students and our student Code of Conduct enforces this mission. Our College Community Officers (who are members of the Student Services team) monitor student behaviour and spend time encouraging students to develop positive learning habits, as well as ensuring student safety across the college site.
